Working with a WinTV Card

Okay, just to set down the steps that I used to get my TV Card up and going:

1. After installation, run Yast. After Yast has detected the card and run its part, Open /etc/modprobe.d/tv in emacs or any text editor you have.
2. Change the tuner type from 4 (no tuner) to 39. Note your mileage may vary on this. 44 worked, but the picture was all black and white. 39 worked better for me.
3. Save, then restart your computer.
4. Run Yast again, bring up the tv card, click edit, and go to the section where you find the channels. Note, if you are in the US, you use NTSC (some manuals will say NTSC M, but most of the time in the states the M is dropped)
5. Bingo, you have your MTV, or whatever.
